I'm experimenting with a new look for the blog, so things might be disjointed for a while.
Thank you for continuing to follow me here. I try to post new images at least once a week, more when I have the time.
I may move this operation over to Tumblr at some point. Does anyone use Tumblr? Would love to hear pros and cons.
Also: Please let me know what you think as I introduce an updated version of this blog.
I like the new design. I have a Tumblr account I never use. Personally, I don't like the setup of Tumblr. It's hard to interact with blogs on there. There isn't really a commenting system (at least none that I can figure out) and things are reblogged infinitely which clogs up my Blogger news feed. I know it's a visually oriented platform, and that a lot of image-heavy blogs seem to be on there, but I just can't make the jump!
ReplyDeleteMe gusta !! (I love this new look!!).

Wow, very different. It's very bright and clean looking.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the feedback! For some reason, Blogger is no longer alerting me when someone attempts to leave a comment, so my apologies for the lag time. Now let me check out the settings once more...
ReplyDeleteAnd a special thank you, Julie. I do feel that this format works well for me, after years of using it and working out the kinks.
ReplyDeleteI used tumblr for a few years, but I never really liked it. I hate the fact that when things spread across tumblr the original source and/or poster can get lost. Further, the platform doesn't have a real commenting system and, truth be told, the search system is horrific. Plus, there's no way to pin a single tumblr post. It just Pins back to the tumblr blog, making it not a very good format for Pinterest, if that is something you care about. Some people care, some people don't.
ReplyDeleteSo, yeah, that's my two cents on Tumblr.
Also, I love the new blog format.
Thanks, that is definitely good to know. I really like that the blog is searchable.
ReplyDeleteHey Linda - Love your blog. I was surprised and thrilled to see an image of my vintage L&B doll on this post (Lillian Russell with green slippers) looks like the id tag was missing from this image but the doll and information about her can be found on my blog at http://www.ekduncan.com/2011/06/antique-paper-doll-lillian-russell.html There are lots more paper dolls and fun vintage images on my site so I hope you get a chance to have a look.
