Christmas Greetings Paper Doll Card, ca. 1930s

Jane and Betty and their dog Snowball

The dolls have heads that are inserted into the costume, similar to paper dolls from an earlier era.

(I'm thinking of paper dolls I've seen from the late 19th-century, including advertising paper dolls.

I love the little bits of doggerel verse on the back of the dolls and their dresses and hats.

Happy Birthday, Daughter

A cozy robe for a snowy Wednesday.

I bought a few of these cut Hallmark paper doll cards on eBay last year. Thanks to Teri Pettit, I know this is Barbara Ann by Viv, 1954.

Teri's website is exceptional: She gives you the formats to print out copies of paper dolls from her collection.

Here's a sample of a Barbara Ann page from her website. Click here for more: Teri Pettit.
