ANTIQUING !!

Other than the Convention itself, there are few things more dear to a Paper Doll Collector's heart than Antique Shops. In Philadelphia, many fine Antique Shops can be found along historic ”Antique Row" - - Pine Street, from 9th Street to 12th Street.

Here, you'll find a wide variety of antique shops, each with the prospect of yielding that long-sought treasure. Let's look at a sampling.

At 1002 Pine Street is Blendo: Past & Present.  You can’t miss the display spilling out of the store onto the sidewalk, it’s been called “an art installation” that changes daily. While not, strictly speaking, an antiques store, you’ll find antiques mixed in with the vintage and modern items in Blendo, and everything has a retro feel.  The owner has chosen items that span the century, finding the common thread of beautiful functional design in an affordable mix of products. The store is chock full of vintage furniture, ceramics, glassware, household items, nick-necks and clothes. Topping it all off is a wonderful assortment of new and vintage hats for men and women and an absolutely fabulous collection of beautiful, fun and affordable jewelry. Many shoppers find Blendo to be a one-stop shop for great gift finds. According to the website, Blendo is “open most days from 11am - 6pm”.
