Not a postcard, not even vintage, but somehow just right for today's Postcard Friendship Friday. Read more about Mauldin
here. And be sure to visit Beth at
The Best Hearts Are Crunchy for an excellent history of Memorial Day, a beautiful postcard commemorating the day, and more PFF posts.
Awesome stamp design with both the artist and his heroes. I had never heard of Bill Mauldin before, but I remember his comic characters from comic magazines from long ago. happy PFF.
ReplyDeleteI love this design--the look on the soldier's face is just wonderful. Happy PFF!

I'm aging myself, but I do remember my Dad talking about Bill Mauldin and his wonderful correspondence. Great stamp for Memorial Day. Well done and Happy PFF.
ReplyDeleteI'd seen the one he did after Kennedy died but did not know his work. Interesting link. Happy PFF
