Pretty Belles Cut Out Dolls










Whitman, 1965. A very New York City kind of paper doll; the cover reminds me of going to Central Park on Sundays after church when I was a girl.

These dolls always remind me of the 14-year old girls that stalk Peter Sellers in that fabulous George Roy Hill movie "The World of Henry Orient." It was made in '64, so who knows?

I either have this set now, or I had it when I was a kid. The girls remind me of Hayley Mills in one of her movies (she wore a white hat like that one in Pollyanna, I think).
