Those gloves with the wide wrists were a staple of the 1930s, I believe. Seem to remember an old Bette Davis movie where she wore a dress and gloves with that wing-like wrist style.
I keep thinking, why don't the papers put something like this in today's papers once, perhaps the Sunday edition, to get kids interested in the paper. Drive for future readers. Instead my paper simply dotes on youth in love with technology. It gets boring.
I know! With the popularity of Project Runway and similar shows, you think newspapers would come up with a regular paper doll feature, and a chance for readers to send in their designs.
