German, 1901, if I'm reading the postmark correctly. I'd love to know what this card is about, if there are any German speakers out there. I'm assuming the topic is Easter, because of the eggs, but kittens emerging instead of chicks is quite odd!
That's a very unusual and beautiful card. I can't read the handwriting, but the printed text on the card is equally unusual. It says 'Happy Easter - I'd like to greet you for Easter through the long-distance wires, but where there's no connection one has to try it with a card.' Unlike my translation, the German version rhymes nicely.
That's a lovely card and most Easter post cards are ehhh.
