Millie the Model, 1966

From Issue 137 of Millie the Model. All the paper dolls in this issue are missing the tabs, which is strange.

  1. I loved Millie the Model! I occasionally got comic books from older cousins when I was a kid, and these were the best.
Also, Vulture (entertainment website) occasionally has paper dolls, like singer Robyn, The Mindy Project, The New Girl and Scandal. Here is Robyn from yesterday: http://www.vulture.com/2014/09/robyn-paper-dolls.html

Hi Linda, I recently purchased an old paperdoll set which had all of the tabs neatly cut off the clothes. I wondered why someone would deliberately do that as well. Then, as I was trying the clothes on the doll, I realized that if you wanted to play with the dolls flat (ie. not standing up), it was much easier without tabs ! With tabs, when you lay the dressed doll down, the clothes pop up. So, maybe there was a method behind the madness after all !

  3. I can see the logic to that. Thanks!
