The Chestnut Vendor, 14th Street, woodcut, ca. 1930s


This 4x4 print appear to have been removed from a book; there's no printing on the back. 
It has a perfect November kind of mood about it.

    I love roasted chestnuts. the smell, the taste, the peeling off the hot shell, all of it. They're not easy to come by in Philly but I know a place.

      they are delicious! and a throwback to old time street vendors with simple carts. I have to do some research are where this woodblock print came from...
