This is actually a bit strange. I've never seen one with someone making a staged entrance. Instead of just sitting still or standing without blinking this woman had to throw in some acting ability. Very interesting.
It is staged, isn't it. And she looks quite in command. Love seeing the full dress, not just the usual head and shoulders.
Nifty little bag hanging at her hip. I'd guess 1908 or a bit earlier, based on hair style and silhouette.
