"Acetate pebble crepe" was in vogue, and brings to mind the kind of fabric I've seen over the years in vintage stores.The layout of this ad is a little creepy, with those extra arms drawn in to illustrate the "push up" sleeve, apparently ringed with elastic.
The quality of the illustration is really nice. I wonder if the artist ever did paper dolls? There's a quality to the faces that looks familiar. As to those arms. Sort of freak side show isn't it? Fun. Thanks for posting this. I really like the illustrator's style.
