Sale prices, 1938

"Acetate pebble crepe" was in vogue, and brings to mind the kind of fabric I've seen over the years in vintage stores.
The layout of this ad is a little creepy, with those extra arms drawn in to illustrate the "push up" sleeve, apparently ringed with elastic.

  1. The quality of the illustration is really nice. I wonder if the artist ever did paper dolls? There's a quality to the faces that looks familiar. As to those arms. Sort of freak side show isn't it? Fun. Thanks for posting this. I really like the illustrator's style.

  2. The illustrator does beautiful faces.
