Mechanical, printed in Germany (eyes move back and forth). On back, dated 1927, "Edah from Mother." Love the old crank turntable, and the Bonzo look- alike- dog, very popular at the time.
I love this little girl and her dog . . . how absolutely cute is that :) I play guitar and my dog loves music time, he just comes over and listens quietly, but I've been teaching myself piano and every-time I practice he howls (much like the doggy in your post). What I don't know is, is he singing along, or is this his way of saying "STOP" you sound terrible on that thing, LOL. I have been a huge fan of paper dolls since about age 6, and that is over 60 years. Your blog is a delight. I am your newest follower. Also, at the moment I am having a Give-Away, come on over and join the fun :) Your newest blogging sister, Connie :)
