Movy-Dols were published in 1919, and the artist is Percy Reeves.

Sister Prue as a Bride, 1910

 This is part of a series of "Polly's Paper Playmates" that ran as a supplement to the Baltimore American, and possibly other newspapers as well. Sister Prue as a Bride was published in the November 27, 1910 issue of the Baltimore American. 

Similar to the Boston Herald Lady, these paper dolls are a window on fashion history, society and the newspaper business more than 100 years ago.

"Dolls of Many Lands," (Whitman, 1932) is one of my favorite sets. 

Gretel of Holland has an apron for working in the garden, knitting and,

 of course, kitchen work.
