The Paperdoll Circle
I always see paper dolls and toys I've never seen before in the pages of The Paperdoll Circle, the excellent little magazine published by Lorna Currie Thomopoulos in Surrey, England. That's a German antique gracing this month's cover; the back cover has additional clothing.
It's $25 for three issues a year, and worth every penny. This is the magazine if you want to stay on top of the latest European and American paper dolls.
By the way have you ever heard of a Miss Dollie Daisie Dimple, the first widely advertised paperdoll in the UK which first appeared in 1885? She's pictured on page 2 of this issue, and unlike any doll with a similar name that I've seen.
Make your check out to Lorna Currie Thomopoulous and mail to her at 58 Westfield Ave, Woking, Surrey GU22 9PG, England
Or do what I do: send her $25 via PayPal. Her vendor ID is her email: forever19(at)live.co.uk
